Dr Courtney Robinson

Dr Courtney S. Robinson is a communications strategist and creative architect with more than 30 years’ experience in public relations, strategic communications, media management and public-sector advisory. He has held senior leadership roles in government, statutory bodies and international travel and tourism markets, leading high-profile communications initiatives, managing crisis responses and shaping policy-focused messaging.

Alongside his communications career, Dr Robinson has made a significant contribution to fashion, the creative industries and youth development in the Turks and Caicos Islands. He began as a designer, launching his own label, Islander Fashion, and staging showcases in Grand Turk, South Caicos and Providenciales. He later worked as a model and actor in New York and London, gaining first-hand insight into the discipline and resilience needed to succeed in the industry.

Building on that experience, he founded the TCI Top Model Contest, an annual platform that brings together fashion, education and youth empowerment. As founder and executive producer, he has helped nurture local talent, develop contestants’ professional skills and connect emerging models with industry opportunities. The contest has become a respected platform and a catalyst for the islands’ creative economy.
